Science Simplified 10,000 Views Challenge – money earned with the most viewed articles goes to the quickest of our readers.
Science Simplified is an online platform bringing you the latest news from science, health and technology through public and private customizable streams. It has integrated metrics and an outreach report that is released monthly to help academic research organization improve their outreach and communication with the world.
We are now announcing the Science Simplified 10,000 Views Challenge!
How can you participate?
Sign up with scimplified.com and start reading news articles. If the article reaches 10.000 views or more, we will award the profits made by that article to the reader that was the first to click the 'Add to favorites' link.
Currently, we are making around 1 USD per 1,000 views from display ads. All this money can go to you. If the article gets 10,000 views, you'll get 10 USD (or 10 EUR for European readers). If it makes 250,000 views, you'll get 250 USD. If it makes 8,000 views, you'll get nothing – 10,000 views is the minimum!
10,000 views is not easy to reach, but you can share the article in social media to get more readers to see it. And if you are lucky to hit a big story that goes viral, you might make quite a bit of money. But keep in mind: you have to be the first to claim the article and stick to the rules.
A few more notes:
- 1 USD per 1,000 views is what we are currently making from display ads. We are ready to give you all the money we make. Should the ads underperform, we'll still give you everything that article makes, but it may be less than 1 USD per 1,000 views.
- Please do not try to click on the ads yourself. This can only result in the whole platform being banned from the Goggle Adsense program, and then nobody will benefit and you won't get any money.
- Please do not try to artificially boost the views count. If we notice any irregularities in terms of visitor behavior, you won't get paid out.
Tricks and tips:
- To be sure you are the first to claim an article, you can also publish your own content, or, for instance, re-publish articles released by the PR office of your university or research institute.
- Did we mention that sharing is key?
