About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our Estates Division Electrical team. In this key role, you will be responsible for reactive maintenance repairs of key building services, such as lighting, local power, pump sets, motors, and inverters which support wider building services. This work will support the teaching, academic, and research buildings across the operational estate.
You will be the key client interface possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a well-rounded Electrical knowledge of all Electrical building services. You will be required to support other trades and departments within Estates Division, and you will liaise and oversee contracted works with the numerous approved service providers.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage and organise your work to ensure completion of tasks in a timely manner.
- Provide support to other members of the Electrical Team.
- Provide detailed information to building occupants and contractors about ongoing tasks.
- Liaise with the Estates Division Stores for procurement of parts and tools.
- Attend tasks in line with Service Level agreement.
- Develop relationships and collaborate with Building occupants, Electrical team and other teams within Estates Division.
- Support the Reactive Operations Manager with the day-to-day management of tasks and allocation of work.
About You
- Proven experience of completing maintenance tasks on all Electrical building services.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical building services and impact to building operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage workloads effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant knowledge and experience of Health & Safety requirements in the workplace(e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH).
- Ideally, you will also hold a qualification in Electrical engineering or have time served experience within Electrical maintenance or Building Services Engineering.
