A member of the reception team is often the first point of contact for staff, students and visitors (either in person or on the telephone), and as such is of central importance to the image that CJBS presents. The role holder needs to actively engage with the Schools' clients, students, programme participants and visitors to deliver the best customer experience. Our reception team is professional, courteous, presentable, friendly, attentive, efficient and prides itself on excellent customer service.

The receptionist team forms part of the wider facilities team, which is largely responsible for the smooth running of the School and its internal and externally focused activities.

Duties will include receiving visitors to the School including potential students, programme participants, the general public and distinguished guests, dealing with telephone enquiries, managing room bookings and providing general support to the wider School. Additionally, general duties will include parcel handling, visitor management, key/card access, room bookings, telephone answering, stationery, stock management and receive card payments for merchandise purchases

The successful candidate will have a good standard of general education and experience working in a customer-facing environment. They will be expected to be proactive in their approach to the role and possess a problem-solving mindset. We are looking for an individual who is ambitious, has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Computer literacy is a prerequisite for the role. Experience of working at a reception desk would be beneficial.

This is a part-time role of 26 hours per week, operating on a shift basis across four days per week, including some Saturdays. Working hours fall between 07:30 and 20:00, and applicants must be fully flexible to work within these hours as required. Shift patterns will vary according to business needs and may occasionally involve short notice cover for sickness absence and other operational demands.
